My contribution to Edith Abeyta's "I Miss You" exhibition at the Acorn Gallery. The collage is of my mother, Willie...who is missed more than words can say.

"The Weeping Women" - my contribution to Edith Abeyta's "Can't Get No Satisfaction" exhibition at Walled City in San Pedro. The show ran from October 22-November 20, 2005. I was pleased to be a part of such an interesting exhibit with so many talented artists - most especially Edith, whose work is really fantastic.

Real art in the streets of Los Angeles...

My "You Are Beautiful" piece in it's final home. This is a detail of the piece included in the overall image below.

Overall image of the "You Are Beautiful" compilation & exhibit at the Treehouse Gallery, Los Angeles. This piece is a collaboration with artists from all over the world. The exhibition ran throughout the month of October and then the individual artworks were hung throughout the city in order for random people to come across the message as they went along with their everyday journey. For more information on the "You Are Beautiful" movement and projects, check out their website at My piece is tiny in the scope of all this, but I like the idea of some lovely person in Downtown L.A. coming upon my piece and perhaps taking it with them, because it gave them a nice feeling.

And so it is that you fill my silences and turn everything for me into light - yes, every space that is quiet holds you - your nearness is palpitable and can be felt and tasted. I want to say everything to you and nothing at all - all at the same time. I have conversations with you even when you aren't there and I imagine your responses...the two of us in deepest conversation. If I could hide away from everything in the comfort of your arms, I would do it.
